Tackle homelessness in Manchester with Mustard Tre
ALL YEARManchester
Mustard Tree is a Greater Manchester based charity offering support for those experiencing homelessness and those on the fringes of society. The charity provides emergency food, clothing and furniture, and works on establishing sustainable solutions for those affected by homelessness and the most disadvantaged.
Beginning as a soup run twenty years ago, Mustard Tree evolved to influence and lead the creation of the Manchester Homelessness Charter, which involved working closely with and listening to those who have experienced or are experiencing homelessness in Greater Manchester to shape the city’s new approach to tackling homelessness.
The charter has inspired the creation of Manchester’s Big Change Fund which aims to maximise the benefit of public donations by allocating them to practical support and goods that will help them to move on from homelessness. To date, the Big Change Fund has helped three people into homes.
The Big Change Fund is just one of the ways you can get involved with tackling homelessness in Manchester with Mustard Tree.
