Red Rose Forest

Red Rose Forest is the Community Forest for central and western Greater Manchester. As a charity, they are working to transform this area into a greener, healthier and more satisfying place to live, work and invest.

Greener built environments  contribute to happier and healthier communities and help build our cities' resilience to the impacts of climate change.

Since 1991 Red Rose Forest has been creating new areas of woodland, helping to improve existing green spaces and encouraging thousands of people every year to discover the countryside right on their doorstep by visiting their local park, woodland, nature reserve or community garden.

The support of the local community, businesses, landowners and volunteers, which include many University of Manchester students, is vital to the survival of Red Rose Forest and there are lots of ways for you to get involved.
