Sustrans works with communities, policy-makers and partner organisations so that people can choose healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys and enjoy better, safer spaces where they live.

All over the UK, they make a positive difference to people's lives. They help Local Authorities and transport bodies to develop strategy and vision for the delivery of ambitious but achievable cycling, walking and sustainable travel change.

Sustrans have over 30 years experience in delivering walking and cycling infrastructure and travel behaviour change projects.

Through their staff and volunteer network Sustrans works with universities and colleges on a range of initiatives to increase walking and cycling amongst staff and students. In some areas, this work extends to teaching hospitals, further education colleges and local communities.

They collaborate with partner organisations to offer a range of services and activities to provide students and staff with the information, resources and encouragement they need to choose to make more of their everyday journeys on foot or by bike.
