The Ethical Grand Challenges is now closed for undergraduate students, but remains open for posgraduate students until the end of August.
The Ethical Grand Challenges allow you to learn about three of the biggest challenges facing the world in the 21st century - Sustainability, Social Justice and Workplace Ethics. Our online and face-to-face activities take place in each year of your study and give you the tools you need to become a more socially responsible graduate. Completion of two of three challenges also counts towards the Stellify Award. Find your challenge below:

Year 1 undergraduate students: Sustainability Challenge is now closed for 2024/5 academic year - please note, Sustainability Challenge will not be available in 2025/6.

Year 2 undergraduate students: Social Justice Challenge is now closed for 2024/5 academic year.
- Year 3 undergraduate students: Workplace Ethics Challenge is now closed for 2024/5 academic year.
- Final year undergraduate: All challenges are now closed for 2024/5 academic year.
- Postgraduate taught: Challenges will remain open until 11:59pm on the 31 August 2025. Sign up to the Sustainability Challenge, the Social Justice Challenge or the Workplace Ethics Challenge now.
Completing two Ethical Grand Challenges contributes towards The University of Manchester’s prestigious Stellify Award.
